Not all retailers offering the discount just yet - Thomann yes - GAK no

First used one of them in 1999 for recording. Excellent Mic, and so easy to capture a great kick sound!

No discount at all by the looks of it...

2018 marks the 20th anniversary of Sennheiser’s evolution microphone series, which has become a global industry standard for live microphones and Sennheiser’s most successful microphone series to date.

Along the way, Sennheiser has been responsible for many technological milestones: the first shotgun microphone in the 1950s, open headphones in the 1960s, infrared transmission technology in the 1970s and multichannel wireless transmission in the 1980s. The 1990s saw the development of head-orientated surround systems, intelligent audio information systems appeared for the new millennium and today, the company continues to drive digitalisation of the audio world forwards.

We also listened to the stories from the sharp end with long-time Sennheiser users sharing their experiences of using evolution series. Furthermore, Sennheiser revealed some of the details of what the future holds for evolution.

To celebrate that, Sennheiser held an evening of audio storytelling, where we looked back at the history of wired and wireless evolution microphone series - stories from the Sennheiser people who were there throughout 20 years of the development of evolution series

A great range. I remember being part of the UK wired Mic launch at the New London Theatre and supporting the Elton John tour tour. Still have the T-Shirt 🙂
